Join a Teams meeting
- Open the Teams meeting invitation in Outlook.
- When you open the meeting invite, you will see the meeting details in the body of the meeting invite.
- Select/click the words Click here to join meeting in your Outlook meeting invite to be taken to a page where you will be presented with three options for joining.
Option 1: Download Teams (work or school)
If you do not already have the Teams application, you can download the application, log in then join the meeting within the application.
- Select Download Teams (work or school), then complete the download process.
- Open Microsoft Teams, log in and join the meeting.
- Choose the audio and video settings you want.
- You can choose whether to have your camera on or off when joining the meeting by toggling the video control. You will also need to select your audio before joining the Teams meeting - in most cases; this will be Computer audio.

- Select Join now.
Option 2: Continue on this browser
If you do not have the Teams app, you can still join a Teams meeting. Note: This option may not work on certain browsers. If the meeting link does not open, try updating your browser or opening the link in another browser (E.g. Microsoft Edge, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome).
- Select Continue on this browser.
- Type in your name, and choose the audio and video settings you want using the toggles.
- If you want to specify where audio or video sources are, click on the Custom Setup option to open a side panel with more options.

- Select Join now.
Option 3: Open Teams (work or school)
If you already have Teams downloaded on your desktop, you can open the meeting with the application.
- Select Open Teams (work or school). This will redirect you to the Teams application.
- Choose the audio and video settings you want.
- You can choose whether to have your camera on or off when joining the meeting by toggling the video control. You will also need to select your audio before joining the Teams meeting - in most cases; this will be Computer audio.

- Select Join now.
